A Letter from Our Senior Pastor

By Jon Shuler, Senior Pastor

Welcome to an exciting 2010 at New Grace Church! By now, I trust you have heard about the “Securing Our Future…for Generations to Come” initiative and hopefully you have joined us in our ongoing "52 Days of Prayer."

We are asking everyone who calls New Grace their church home to do three things as they review the information about this initiative:

  1. Pray - It’s not too late to join us in “52 Days of Prayer.” We are hoping everyone will pray for the future of our church and personally discern how the Lord may be calling you to help. You may pick up a hard copy of the “52 Days of Prayer” Guide at the tent, or request a daily email edition of the scripture and prayers. Or, you may follow this link to download the entire guide.
  2. Understand - What the “Securing Our Future…for Generations to Come” endeavor is about. Read all the information here on the website, listen to podcasts of special messages from our pastors, and if you live in the Jacksonville area, and would like to attend one of the upcoming home meetings, request the schedule from our office.
  3. Respond - Regardless of how you are able to participate, if you are on our mailing list we ask you to turn in a pledge card on February 21st. Your response will allow the campaign team to know that you have prayerfully considered your role in the campaign and that further follow-up is not necessary. If you do not receive our hard copy mailings, and would like to make an offering to this campaign, you may request that a pledge card be mailed to you from our office.

We hope that everyone in the New Grace family of believers will take the time to become familiar with this effort. In the coming weeks, Mike and I will share the importance of this campaign to our mission of "Making Followers of Jesus." In February you will have the opportunity to attend a "State of the Church" home meeting where you can ask questions and learn more about the vision for our future. In the meantime, every Sunday, a "Securing Our Future…" tent will be set up outside the church should you like more information, or This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it , and they will be directed to one of our campaign leaders.

Our greatest desire is that together we will celebrate God’s provision in the past and join in "Securing Our Future…for Generations to Come."

Sincerely,

Jon Shuler
Senior Pastor
