Page 1 of 6 Who Is New Grace Church?
New Grace Church is a Christian congregation whose roots go back to the earliest days of Orange Park’s history. Founded in 1880 as one of the “river churches” along the St. Johns, we are a vibrant faith-filled community coming from Clay and Duval and St. Johns Counties. In the Summer of 2006 we purchased 18 acres of land in the heart of Fleming Island, and during the next two years designed and constructed a beautiful Sanctuary and a Classroom building. We moved into our new church home the Summer of 2008. (see New Church Home) We are a missionary congregation of the Anglican Mission in the Americas (AMiA). AMiA is a part of the historic, worldwide, missionary family of Christians known as the Anglican Communion. We are overseen by the Church of the Anglican Province of Rwanda. Day to day governance is exercised by our Anglican Council of Bishops, whose North American Headquarters is in Pawleys Island, South Carolina. |
